Biking since she was a wee tot, Emma further discovered mountain biking in her mid 20’s, and never looked back. Some adventurous off road tours ensued both in Australian and New Zealand as well as several biking tours overseas, including towing her (then) five year old daughter around a very hot Samoa.
Several years on a (very small) island later, an opportunity arose to guide firstly in Tasmania, then in New Zealand. Having lived in New Zealand since 2001 she considers herself a kiwi, but has family links and equal passion for Australia and the unique wildlife and environments of each country.
Outside of biking Emma is involved in conservation and pest management projects in New Zealand and is an experienced tertiary educator. Emma considers the freedom and pace of cycling the perfect way to explore a country and enjoys sharing this passion with others.
