Originally from the U.K., Alex has been a Kiwi for over 26 plus years, having emigrated with his wife and two young sons in order to enjoy all that New Zealand had to offer an adventurous outdoor loving family.

Alex owned a Sporting goods retail store on the North Shore of Auckland for many years before becoming a Tour guide in 2006. Since then he has guided cycle tours in all parts of New Zealand plus India, the Czech Republic and Austria.

Alex enjoys reading and landscape painting in addition to his outdoor pursuits of cycling, hiking and water sports, in particular sea kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. Alex is a keen traveler himself and enjoys sharing the beauty of New Zealand with visitors to the country.
